Wasabi in Beachwood

I'm only giving this place one star because of the server that I had. His name is Antonio. Now my girlfriend and I attend this place often and we LOVE the service that we get when we are here. One August 2, 2020 we attended this restaurant just to have some down time and enjoy the food and show. We noticed that the server that we have is the same guy that we had a while ago. Antonio started off nice, as he should, but got lazy once the cook came. Once we got the bill placed $0.00 as the tip (because of he played his hand the last time we had him) and wrote our FINAL balance down signed and walked away we thought we were done. A couple of days go by and my girlfriend noticed that our total from here was changed to be $20 more !!! We instantly go back to our copy of the bill and see that wasn't the REAL total at all. Antonio REALLY so your stealing now. WOW this is just plan old SAD. I understand times are HARD but THIS sir THIS IS DOWN RIGHT DISRESPECTFUL

The customer service sucks. I was asked did I have a reservation when I walked in, it was a last minute decision to dine here. So I said no, but then the hostess told the remaining of my party that had not arrived when the called to try and make a reservation that they weren't taking reservations today. I am confused. It has never been this bad.

My husband is from Cleveland and said this place is very popular so I expected a good experience. Unfortunately, this place didn't live up to my expectations. The cook was entertaining and the food was ok however the quality of service needs to improve.

Beachwood location for lunch. The chef our table had couldn't cook. Veggies burnt and no flavor/seasoning, rice no flavor/seasoning, chicken was still raw.

Food is okay. Have gotten take out here twice. Note that when you order the sushi special you will not receive sushi as advertised but will instead receive nigiri. When I asked the manager about it, she agreed I had been given nigiri but then said that in America, sushi is the same as nigiri (despite offering nigiri, sushi, and sashimi as separate items on their on the menu). Also ordered hibachi chicken that was dry. Yum yum sauce was tasty.

I've never had a bad experience here! The sushi is always delicious and the drinks are great depending on the bartender that night. The ambiance on the sushi side is also nice. Always come back for some good sushi.

Nice place to eat and drink meeting new people is nice the way you share food with people who might not like you 😅👊🏾

I was told 25 minutes and I would get a call I waited 1.5 hours and I had to ask 2 times at the desk kept being told ok you are next last for nite to be seated spoke to Manager on duty she tried to give me a excuse as to why I was seated last No Go as I explained toheristood at the deskarea for an hour not one time did the 2 hostess call anyone so yes I ate and paid and tipped the waiter but I doubt if I will go back

The service was great. My Margarita was delicious.

Very mediocre hibachi, maybe I just had bad luck, but the chef was not entertaining and more important: the food was not very good.

Excellent service yesterday upon greeting. Table sits was fast n nice sat with a bunch of nice people yesterday and enjoyed it.. food was good piled 2 the plate drink was fantastic love it

Good food and lots of it. I had the steak and scallops , it was delicious. Very nice atmosphere and very entertaining chefs. We had 10 people in our group. We all had a great time.

We are new in town and just decided to make Wasabi our favourite Sushi spot. Unfortunately a very rude, ill mannered and threatening manager with no social skills and zero idea about customer service has ruined our lunch and we had to leave feeling upset and humiliated. Pity we are not coming back and we cannot recommend you for a family outing. Thank you chef for an otherwise delicious sushi You deserve a better manager!

TRY THE ANGRY DRAGON SUSHI ROLL. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! My favorite restaurant by far. I come here for any big moments in life or just when I need to treat myself (which with how much i love their food is more often than i should)

Food and staff were equally amazing.

The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because there is NO type of social distancing in this place what so ever.

I stopped by Beachwood Red Lobster at 9:30pm (they close at 10). I am waiting behind multiple Uber eats orders. I get to the counter at 9:34 to order half a dozen biscuits. I am then told they are not allowed to take orders after 9:30. And all of the biscuits they have are for other orders. I only stopped in for half a dozen biscuits. Not only was it obnoxious they were rude and unprofessional. Other employees standing in the front of the restaurant (lobby) Complaining about customers at tables right in front of me, a new customer. Very disappointed. But not a problem. I will take my business elsewhere. As I suggest you should as well.

A great place to celebrate your birthday and really great food!

One of the best sushi (if not the best) in Northeast Ohio. Staff are very friendly, the sushi is fresh and succulent, and the prices are comprable to the competition.

We had a great time for my niece birthday. It was family, love, and fun!

Good food kinda pricey. Gratuity is automatically added so watch cuz they try an get you on that. Fried rice is extra with the children's meal?

Friendly helpful staff! I have food allergies and they accommodated my needs without eliminating the cooking show. I love watching the food being prepared right in front of me! I ordered the Hibachi Filet Mignon.

Awful...paid my money and never got a call. I wanted a to go order, and they never called as they promised. They didn't return my money. Get better staff. ZERO STARS, but they wouldn't let me give them 0, so they got 1

Was decent. At least you can dine inside. The food was ok but not great and a lot of rice and noodles, less meat and veggies than I am used to in this type of restaurant. The service was ok but rushed, very rushed.Be warned the floors are crazy slippery, not sure what they've put on them but be careful.

We always have a ladies night once a month or so an Wasabi was our choice! Our cook was delightful an exciting! We had a little wait for about 20 minutes but drinks while we waited made it better

I am very mixed on this particular restaurant. The cook was amazing and fun and I felt special even though these guys do the same routine all day. The food was cooked and seasoned amazingly. The sake was delicious. The environment was interesting with bubble walls and indoor trees and blue lighting. The waitress was okay I said hot tea and she brought me ice tea, no big deal. I had two things that really bothered me, first the tip was included in the bill but when you sign there is a line for a tip but it's not really clear tip was already included and that feels deceptive to me. Second, there was a dead fish in the koi pond in the entrance way. Not a pleasant smell as the first step in a restaurant. I told the hostess and she replied that they knew already it was still there when I left. So minus the dead fish this would have been a 4.

I only had their Chirashi ($21). Was very hesitant at first since I hadn’t had good experience with this in Cleveland. However, it was much better than what I had expected. The fish was fresh. The bowl had good variety and it was a very big portion. I only wish they added some pickled veggies. Better than Pacific East’s Chirashi in both taste, price and size.

I love Wasabi, and it was my birthday weekend.Me girlfriend and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.Our chef was hilarious and he was very good at his job. Another huge plus was our waitress, Yanislava she was a great host.I would totally go again.

First time here..I really enjoyed everything..very busy but still taken good care of. I had the sirloin steak hibachi meal..so much food!!! Oh and I really enjoyed my geisha drink!

Terrible experience for the Hibachi. Overcharged us for things to we didn’t ask for. Terrible waiters and the chefs aren’t exciting. When I went to the bathroom I saw baby poop laying on the ground. Don’t recommend going here. Food wasn’t even good!!

So goood and a lot more affordable then Benihana's. Cousins took me here during my visit to Cleveland from Los Angeles. Short wait time (:

My meal was delicious and my server was good. I enjoyed the time. Only complaint my drinking glass came out with food on the side of it and the restaurant could've been cleaner

Of course, Hibachi always being an experience in itself, Wasabi has really cool decor and fun chefs, so it's a great place to go for a celebration! The food is as great as everything else, too. It's a place you go to for everything it offers!

Our food was good! Lauren our server was amazing she stays on top of everything! Her customer service was the best part of the experience.

Was here for my nephew 's birthday party. My first time and I really enjoyed myself. Food was delicious our cook was awesome, my 5yr old granddaughter was amazed. Our waitress and the other employees that we had seen were all very friendly and polite. My nephew and son and a few others dining with us have been here other times and they have all said that they really liked it.
